1.) What are the busiest and least busy times of the year at WDW? Historic attendances throughout the year indicate the following trends which could be influenced by special events and promotions: -
Lowest Attendance: a.) January (with the exception of New Year's Day) until just prior to Presidents' week in February. b.) The week following Labour Day (which falls in the first week of September) until just prior to Thanksgiving week (which is the fourth week of November). c.) The week following Thanksgiving, roughly 1st December, until the week prior to Christmas.
Moderate Attendance: a.) After Presidents' week in February through early March. b.) Late April through early June (except Memorial Day weekend). c.) The first part of Thanksgiving week - (week 4 in November).
Highest Attendance: a.) Presidents' week in February. b.) Mid-March through Late April ("Spring Break"). c.) Memorial Day weekend (Memorial day is the last Monday in May.) d.) Mid-June through Labour Day (which is during the first week in September). e.) Thanksgiving Day and weekend (4th week in November). f.) Christmas week through New Year's Day.
2.) Which days in a normal week are busiest/least busy at WDW? During regular attendance periods the Walt Disney World theme parks tend to be the busiest on the following days: - Animal Kingdom:................... 4.) What is Fastpass? Fastpass is a Walt Disney World resort and Disneyland resorts system designed to even out the waiting list for certain attractions. Your handout park map and the signage at the attractions will indicate which ones are included in the Fastpass scheme. There will be a sign at the entrance to an attraction indicating the waiting time for the regular queue which if you feel is reasonable then join the queue. If not then insert your park admission pass in to the Fastpass machine and get an appointment for later that day which will probably indicate a time range i.e. 5pm till 6pm. When you return to the attraction later you must join the Fastpass queue not the regular queue. Feedback indicates the Fastpass queue moves a great deal faster than the regular queue at ratios of numerous to one.
5.) What forms of transport are provided within the resort? There are many modes of transportation within Walt Disney World resort, including Bus, Boat and Monorail.
By Bus: Most areas of the resort are accessible by bus from other areas within the resort, including Theme Parks, Water Parks, the Disney Resorts and Downtown Disney. Buses travel on routes throughout the Resort but do not provide direct service between all destinations. It may be necessary to use other forms of transport such as the monorail.
By Boat: Magic Kingdom is accessible by water launch from Disney World Contemporary Resort, Disney World Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney World Polynesian Resort, Disney World Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney World Wilderness Lodge. The Disney World ferryboats connect Magic Kingdom theme park to the Transportation and Ticket Centre (adjacent to Magic Kingdom parking). Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios are accessible by boat from Disney World's BoardWalk Inn and Villas Resort, Disney World's Yacht Club and Disney World's Beach Club Resorts and Walt Disney World Swan and Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotels. Downtown Disney is accessible by ferryboat from Disney World's Port Orleans Resort, Disney World's Old Key West Resort and Disney World's Saratoga Springs Resort.
By Monorail: Disney World's monorail runs between Magic Kingdom Park, Disney World's Contemporary Resort, Disney World's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney World's Polynesian Resort and the Transportation and Ticket Centre (adjacent to the Magic Kingdom parking lot). A connecting monorail takes Guests from the Transportation and Ticket Centre to Epcot.
6.) What is Disney's Magical Express? Disney World's Magical Express Service is an airport service that offers hassle free, complimentary transportation from the Orlando International Airport to your Resort hotel, and then back again when your stay is over, for both you and your luggage. The magical part of this service is that if you utilize the Disney's Magical Express luggage tags provided, you do not have to claim your luggage when you arrive at the Orlando International Airport. Disney's Magical Express claims your luggage on your behalf and delivers it directly to your Walt Disney World Resort room. All Walt Disney World -owned and -operated resorts offer this service for Guests arriving at the Orlando International Airport although there are exceptions so please read the small print.
7.) Is parking available at the Theme Parks? Parking is available at the Disney World Theme Parks for an additional fee. Once the parking fee is paid, this will allow you to park at all the Disney Theme Parks for that entire day. Disney Resort Guests with valid resort identification receive complimentary parking at the Disney World Theme Parks for the length of their resort stay.
8.) Where can we meet the Disney Characters? Character dining is available all around the Walt Disney World Resort. 9.) Where can I shop? There is a shopping paradise at Downtown Disney!
10.) What and where is Downtown Disney? It's an exciting shopping, dining and entertainment complex where Cirque de Soleil - La Nouba and DisneyQuest and is found located at the Walt Disney World Resort. Motor coach transportation is available between all Walt Disney World Resorts, Downtown Disney and Disney's BoardWalk.
11.) What youth activities are there? "Youth Education Series" (Y.E.S.) field trip opportunities are offered at the Walt Disney World Resort and information can be obtained by calling Disney Youth Groups directly at (800) 833-9806 for information. Also call this number if you want to to learn about youth group Theme Park admission discounts.
12.) Is there a baby-sitting service? There are Child Activity Centres at many of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels along with the Kid's Nite Out Program for in-room child care.

14.) What is the dress code? The Parks are a casual, family-oriented environment. Comfortable dress is recommended, wear good walking shoes and check the local weather report before leaving for the Parks. Typically you might walk 5-10 miles each day so prepare yourself before you take your holiday by walking regularly.
15.) Can I get help arranging a special event? A range of activities are available at the resort to help you to plan and celebrate special occasions i.e. dining with Disney Characters at one of many character breakfasts, lunches, or dinners. 16.) Are there any outdoor sports facilities available? Disney World Resort has a host of exciting sports venues from championship golf courses to the Disney's Wide World of Sports.
17.) Where can I leave my pet? With the exception of service dogs for Guests with disabilities, pets are not permitted in the Theme Parks or hotels, or on Resort or Theme Park buses. They may, however, stay in one of five Walt Disney World on-site air-conditioned kennels each of which is a member of the American Boarding Kennel Association. 18.)
