Flights to Florida

If you type into your search engine 'flights to Florida' you get a whole wealth of information about how best to get to Florida, the best offers etc. We have taken a snap shot of this and summarised some of the 'better' deals we could find.

We start with Virgin Atlantic, a well know International carrier that has multiple flights to the USA, more specifically to Orlando. Should you want to fly on or about Sunday 20th December to make it a Merry Christmas holiday and spend plenty of time with Mickey and Friends you should right now be looking at ticket prices to get the best deal during this normally expensive peak season travelling period. Typically prices are in the region of £1,300 per person.

Virgin normally flies to Orlando International Airport (MCO) from London Gatwick and flights typically leave around 13:00 UK time arriving around 17:30 US time. This is a pretty decent time to fly while having a comfortable, spacious and entertaining time on board which is second to none.

If you and the family wanted to travel earlier in the year, say around November 2009 prices fluctuate substantially from as low as £441.00 per person according to Virgin. So it really does depend on the time of year you fly. The main thing to remember is that you can earn loads of air miles if you sign up to Virgin's Frequent flyer programme. Again if you were looking at early January 2010 return flights start at £431.00 all subject to availability and the earlier you book, the more you save.

British Airways too has a range of offers and appears to be trying to cater more for accomodation as much as flights these days, so there are some interesting prices However, their website is quite slow at loading so it can take a while.

BA flights also depart from London Gatwick and tend to leave earlier in the morning around 11:25 arriving in Orlando Florida at 17:25 with the average price per person roughly £630 if travelling during the end of October/early November 2009 period and includes a 3 star hotel.

Naturally the one thing travellers should always consider is the booking restrictions for once booked and paid for trying to change tickets can sometimes be expensive or difficult. So it is best to double check dates and reservations before you pay.
