The airport is around 6.5 miles from the south-east of Orlando, ideally placed to get to Walt Disney World Florida. There are a host of ways to get into town, you can rent a car, take a transfer and there are plenty of hotels at the airport including conference facilities should you wish.

Orlando International is the tenth busiest airport in the United States, and serves much of Central and Northern Florida. It operates with 41 different airlines of which 17 flights go to international airports, 72 to domestic. In 2008 it recorded over 38 million passengers, not bad for tenth largest!

Transport.

Car Rentals.

As mentioned, all the major car rental companies like Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, National etc all have kiosks throughout the Airport terminal normally on level 1 side A and B.

Shuttles.

If you would rather take the bus, then there is the Lynx service which leaves from sides A and B of the terminal on level 1. However, unfortunately these shuttles are not allowed to service Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista and the studios etc.

Taxis.

They are a quick and reliable way of getting into to town and normally readily available on level 1 of the airport.

Car Parking.

Airport Facilities.

Shopping:

Like any international aiport Orlando's has plenty of options for the world traveller especially on the shopping front with a multitude to choose from and all are duty free.

Money, Foreign Exchange and Communications:

There are ATMs within the main terminal and foreign exchange kiosks throughout.

Internet access:

It is available for the web savvy users and dedicated internet terminals are also available.

Eating and Drinking:

There are plenty of pizza restaurants, bars, cafes and sandwich shops all catering for a broad cross section of tastes.

Baggage:

There is a lost property service in the terminal so should you lose any item in the airport of baggage you can call this number (tel: +001 407 825 2111) and they may be able to assist.

Other Services:

There are also various other services available in the airport terminal including a massage, and a hairdresser.
