Aquatica is the newest in the trio of water theme parks, following SeaWorld and Discovery Cove, which are owned by the same company and individually adjacently located as three discrete areas. It was opened in 2008 and therefore appears newer and cleaner with attractively prepared landscape of green gardens, palm trees and colourful displays of flowers. Animal Attractions:
Based upon the South Seas and the animals found there the park is in keeping with the theme as you would expect with Commerson's dolphins, exotic fish, colourful and unusual birds such as the kookaburra, turtles and even an anteater! Some you will find around the park with their trainers.
Cabanas:
The cabanas which accommodate up to 4 visitors can be rented for the day and during peak seasons it is best to reserve in advance.
Dining:

Aquatica is located at the southern end of International Drive off the Beachline Expressway (FL 528) across from SeaWorld while Discovery Cove is just across the Central Florida Parkway from SeaWorld. It is 10 minutes south of downtown Orlando.
Rides:
Cutback Cove & Big Surf Shores.
Side by side wave pools with one providing a gentle pulsation and the other surfing intensity.
Dolphin Plunge.
{Minimum height requirement of 48". Max weight of 300lbs}}
A 250 foot body slide inside a transparent tube which goes through the Commerson dolphin pool. But to enjoy keep your eyes open !
Hooroo Run.
{Minimum height requirement 41" and under 48" must wear life vest.}
7 foot wide, 6 storey, 250 foot high, triple drop straight down water ride that is sure to get the heart pumping!
Kata's Kookaburra Cove.
{Maximum height requirement of 48".}
Slides and a wading pool for preschool children.
Loggerhead Lane.
{Under 48" tall must wear life vest}
A leisurely river journey which circumnavigates Tassie's Twisters with the opportunity to pass through the exotic world of the Fish Grotto.
Omaka Rocka - NEW!!!!
All-new water slide that thrills with high-speed tubes and half-pipe funnels. It will have you splashing and sliding frontward and backward and even climbing the walls.
Roa's Rapids.

This one stop only to get on and off fast moving floating stream ride is much longer than the more leisurely Loggerhead Lane.
Tassie's Twisters.
A flume ride which sends you through tunnels and into a bowl for a final spin before the leisurely journey along Loggerhead Lane.
Taumata Racer.
{Minimum height requirement of 41" and under 48" must wear life vest.}
An 8 lane 'competitive' slide on specially designed mats with a loop-the-loop final bend before racing across the finishing line.
Walhalla Wave & HooRoo Run.
{Minimum height requirement of 42".}
These are 2 circular raft slides which hold up to 3 people. Walhalla Wave tends to be the more popular.
Walkabout Waters.
{Height restriction between 36 and 42 inches for slides into the main pool and minimum of 42 inches for larger slides where controlled by the lifeguard.}
A huge 3-storey interactive play area for smaller children consisting of slides, tunnels and water-cannons where wet is the operative word!
Whanau Way.
A fairly gentle slide which has 1 or 2 person tubes for a corkscrew and a number of twists and turns.
