The first of the Disney theme parks to be built in Florida, Disney's Magic Kingdom is indeed magic with the highest number of visitors per year for any of the theme parks averaging over 40,000 visitors per day! Therefore, when you go to Walt Disney World Florida's Magic Kingdom, go early (as soon as the gates open) and go with a plan.

Parades.
These are quite spectacular affairs held in the afternoon and evening involving numerous Disney Characters and utilising special effects. The Walt Disney World Railroad is stopped when the parades are in progress and generally it can be difficult moving around the park. The good news is that the parades draw visitors away from the attractions.

Enjoy a relaxing and scenic ride around the outskirts of Magic Kingdom and as an easy way of getting from Main Street, USA to Frontierland or Mickey's Toontown Fair without a personal Disney guide.

Adventureland.
Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management.
Opened originally in 1963 the Enchanted Tiki Room is a dab hand at entertaining audiences. This attraction is in the form of a show lasting about 20 minutes. The show hosts familiar characters and songs such as: Aladdin's Iago and the Lion King's Zazu who join the original hosts of the Tiki Birds: Michael, Jose, Fritz and Pierre. You can expect singing and jokes during the performance as well as a tropical storm!
Jungle Cruise. [FASTPASS]
As the name suggests, The Jungle Cruise is a boat ride through the Jungle terrain of four different continents. It is a ten minute tour - so relatively short and on a warm day is a delightful way to relax adrift on the water! The journey will take you through Hippo infested waters. These apparently placid animals can be pretty dangerous! On dry land there are Lions, Rhino's, Zebra's, Giant Butterflies and of course - Head Hunters! As your trip draws near to its end you will pass through the serenity of the Cambodian Jungle where the beautiful Tigers await and watch over all of the Temple's treasure.
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. {Rated 7th in probable top 10.} [Minimum age 3yrs+]
The 2 minute Magic Carpet ride is blissfully gentle and takes its riders on a skyline tour of the mysterious city of Agrabah. Each vehicle (or carpet!) takes four passengers who are able to control the vehicles themselves in up and down motions when you may get wet!
Pirates of the Caribbean. {Rated 5th in probable top 10.}
Once on board this 10 minute pirate-themed boat ride and making your way through the cave system you will find yourself immediately entwined in a battle of canon balls and Captain Barbosa. WATCH OUT! Also keep an eye on the very elusive Jack Sparrow who is lurking around the place - no doubt hiding from the trouble!
Swiss Family Treehouse.
This is a pleasant and interactive 10-15 minute tour of the famous treehouse we all dreamed of living in! Brilliantly executed and perfect to every little detail This GIGANTIC treehouse which provides a great self-guide experience for all the family entails a lot of stair climbing.
Fantasyland.
Ariel's Grotto.
All 'Little Mermaid' fans should not miss the chance to visit the beautiful Ariel in her home town! Visitors to the attraction should have their cameras at the ready as Ariel is often around to have photos taken with her visitors. There is a water area for the Kids to play around in and cool off, but don't worry parents! There is also a shaded and covered area for you.
Cinderella's Golden Carousel.
Walking through Main Street USA you will no doubt hear the resonating sound of an organ playing everyones favourite Disney sing-along-songs! If you follow the source of these jolly tunes you will soon come across an unmissably glorious carousel a feat produced by Italian Woodcarvers in 1917 and a great experience of an old-fashioned ride.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant.
What a Classic!!! The Flying Elephant is still one of the most popular and iconic rides associated with Disney and takes you flying high over the Magic Kingdom. This placid 2 minute ride is not one for thrill seekers, but is a gentile escape for the younger kids and parents!
It's a Small World! {Rated 4th in probable top 10.}
This ride is an indoor musical tour taking visitors on a trip over water to see children from all over the world. On this water tour you will sail through different rooms showing examples of dancing and singing from cultures all over the world. How splendid! The famous lyrics of "It's a Small World" are blasted out throughout the ride and repeated in different languages throughout the 11 minutes?
Mad Tea Party.
Mad-Hatter-ness!!! Large spinning tea cups! Another classic ride inspired by Disney and Alice in Wonderland. Passengers can enjoy spinning each other silly by turning the central wheel of the tea cup whilst sitting in it. Probably not the best ride to follow lunch with!
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. [FASTPASS] {Rated 10 in probable top 10}
As you are seated in vehicles of Honey Pots for four passengers you begin your 4 minute journey through to the Hundred Acre Wood you can expect to come across all of the gang: Piglett, Ti-gg-er, Owl, Gopher, Kanga and of course Roo. Along the ride you will encounter the honey-thieving Heffalumps and Woozles so WATCH OUT!
Mickey's PhilharMagic. [FASTPASS]
WOW! This magnificent 20 minute long 3-D spectacle took three years to complete and the ingenuity of Disney Feature Animation and Imagery teams! The show really brings all of Disney to life before your eyes - so much that you can even touch it!
Peter Pan's Flight. [FASTPASS] {Rated 9th in probable top 10.}
Inspired by J.M Barrie's much loved book, this ride takes its visitors through Peter Pan's story in Never-Never land and allows passengers to sail their own pirate ship. This is a 3 Minute long ride and ends with the villainous Captain Hook, a Clock and a Crocodile. Need I say more?
Pooh's Playful Spot.
This is an interactive play area for kids who wish to explore the Hundred Acre Wood in more detail. There is a 'splash' area amidst the many other obstacles and attractions to keep the tots happy.
Snow White's Scary Adventure.
Based of course on the 1937 film phenomena, this ride takes its passengers through Snow White's kingdom on wooden mine carts named after the seven dwarfs. The ride is 3 minutes long, which gives enough time for encounters with the scary Witch the evil Queen but at the same time is provides enough time to come across the with the jolly dwarfs and a most handsome Prince.
Frontierland.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. [FASTPASS]
{Rated 2nd in probable top 10.} {Minimum height restriction of 40".}
Set to resemble the 'Gold Rush' era, the Thunder Mountain Railroad is a runaway 3-4 minute roller-coaster ride in the surroundings of the arid, rocky terrain resembling Utah in a flooded town named 'Tumbleweed'. Attention to detail is evident on this ride with genuine antique mining equipment placed throughout, not to mention the smell of Sulphur and other mining scents...Yuk!
Country Bear Jamboree.
As the name suggests this is a Jamboree, country style dancing show. The 15 minute show stars a sleuth of twenty audio-animatronics bears with banjos galore. A whole lot of fun is to be had with the singing and unforgettably entertaining host Henry and his pals: The Five Bear Rugs, Wendell, Big Al, Beula, Bunny, Liver Lip Mcgraw and the rest of the posse!!

Splash Mountain. [FASTPASS] {Rated 1st in probable top 10.}
{Minimum height restriction of 40"}
Based on animated sequences in the 1946 film by Walt Disney 'Song of the South', the vast 87-foot high Splash Mountain displays one of the world's longest flume drops and assures riders a descent faster than any other in the kingdom! The 11 minute log flume boat ride which carries 8 people takes the adventurers through a series of flooded mountain canals. Along the way expect to see an array of audio-animatronics characters!
Tom Sawyer Island.
The island which is accesses by gentle wooden raft is fashioned as a walk-though and is a wonderful way to shake off and wind down from high pressured attractions. Adults can sit and relax in rocking chairs and watch the world go by, whilst admiring the beautiful great oaks, pines, red maples, elms and sycamores. Tom Sawyer Island is still a place for the kids however offering meandering caves to explore and a working watermill for some good old-fashioned fun.
Liberty Square.
The Hall of Presidents.
This 23 minute show takes an educational and historical look at the Constitution and the political formation of the USA. It is very informative and very well executed featuring audio-animatronics characters of all the Presidents.
The Haunted Mansion. {Rated 8th in probable top 10.}
Jeeper's creepers!! Feel the hairs on your neck stand up as you are beckoned to the Mansion by howling wolfs on an 8 minute journey in a Doom Buggy. You will be greeted by butlers and maids who take you into the spooky library! keep your eyes peeled at all times you never know what might be behind you!
Liberty Belle Riverboat.
This wonderful three-tired paddle boat is an authentically grand replica of the old days. As it stylishly drifts around Tom Sawyer Island on its 20 minute journey you can really take in the surroundings and forget yourself in the mesmerizing sound of churning water.
Mickey's Toontown Fair.
The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm. {Minimum height limit of 35".}
This is the only ride in Toontown and is a fun and quite innocent rollercoaster ride around Goofy's farm 'Wiseacre'. The ride lasts a mere minute and is suitable for small kids given its tame nature.
Donald's Boat.
This is a play area for children. Kids get to play around in Donald's much beloved boat 'Miss Daisy'. Water shoots and spurts through the deck floors randomly and is great fun for the kids!
Mickey's Country House and Judge's Tent.
A wonderful self-guided walk through the attraction visiting the home of the great Mouse complete with Pluto's doghouse in the backyard. Maybe you will even meet the great Mouse himself?
Minnie's Country House.
What is good enough for Mickey is good enough for Minnie on this self-guided tour of her mouse house.
Toontown Hall of Fame Tent.
You will have an opportunity to meet your favourite hero at this Character greeting venue.
Tomorrowland.
Astro Orbiter.
This is a minor attraction where Guests ride Buck Roger spacecrafts around the stratosphere of Tomorrowland in orbit of the spiraling planets but is very popular with quite small kids.
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. [FASTPASS] {Rated 3rd in probable top 10.}
{Minimum height restriction of 44"}
Guests get into two-person XP-37 space cruisers and are involved in an adventure with the famous Toystory character Buzz Lightyear. The carts are equipped with ray guns for use during the ensuing 5 minute battle with the evil Emperor Zurg!
Monsters Inc, Laugh Floor.
An animated interactive comedy show where the Monsters will generate energy from children?s laughter. It is held in a theatre which can accommodate several hundred visitors.
Space Mountain. [FASTPASS] {Rated 6th in probable top 10.}
{Minimum height restriction of 44"}
WOW! The Space Mountain attraction at Walt Disney World is more than 180 feet high and has a diameter of over 300 feet! You just can't miss this popular attraction which is considered one of the largest 'mountains' in Florida! Space Mountain is an indoor/outdoor roller coaster ride that takes blasts its passengers around in the DARK before the gruelling journey into outer space!
Stitch's Great Escape! {Minimum height restriction of 40"}
This attraction is a 15 minute show based on the mischievous adventures of Stitch. Guests are given the role of new recruits in what has been made to look like an inter-galactic security system
Tomorrowland Indy Speedway. {Minimum height restriction of 52"}
An opportunity for the kids to get their own set of wheels! Guests are supplied with a gas-guzzling vehicle around a track travelling at speeds of up to 7mph!
Tomorrowland Transit Authority.
This relaxing trail takes 10 minutes and can be a great break from the exhausting thrills!
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress.
The attraction takes the form of a show which takes its listeners through the impact of technological progression on Americans' daily living. It takes place in a theatre fitted with 250 seats which revolves around six different stages and takes 20 minutes.
